‘Employee First Programme- People Driven’         

Devine’s Worldwide Chauffeur Services set out to unleash the power and experience of the 65 staff to grow the company. The work focused on simple but effective actions involving staff and managers in a more open and transparent performance culture. It resulted in job specs for everyone, self-ratings on a Talent grid, performance check-ins and voice in some business decisions. It focussed on empowering self-organising teams, cross training departments, and increasing awareness of generational diversity.

The judges commented on how HR was bought to life in difficult circumstances, the excellent insight and ability of the Head of HR to align HR with the business and win the buy-in of the family Directors. The judges praised how, with limited resources, but clear objectives, buy-in, and practical tools, there was significant impact on the culture and business.
