Department of Foreign Affairs led by the HR Abroad Local Staff Team

‘Developing staff employed in the overseas offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs’

The Department’s Learning and Development Team within HR Abroad developed and executed a comprehensive strategy to train and develop over 900 staff employed by the Embassies and Consulates (local staff).

By upskilling through drawing in expertise from around the Department, the team showed high levels of commitment to deliver on a strategy that was systematic and thorough, and had a high positive impact across the Department.
