In this strong category, the judges were impressed with Sam’s remarkable impact within a short space of time, as well as the breadth and scope of his activities. His dedication was evident, his work came across as more than a job; he showed a true passion backed up with experience, skills and expertise. Sam has achieved a lot in his short time. He has rolled out policies, procedures and training, created 30 champions, hosted an EDI conference, made the trade unions an ally, and enjoys staunch support across the organisation.   ​​
