After working in the private sector for almost 40 years (Irish Shell Limited and Veolia Ireland) Donal joined the Civil Service in 2018 as a Senior HR Manager.
Donal is working in a Government Department with a wide portfolio brief and lead a dedicated team of HR colleagues, serving the interests of about 400 staff while also providing HR support to over 20 National Cultural Institutions and State Bodies under the remit of the Department.
The introduction of Hybrid Working has presented some interesting challenges but Donal is happy to report that the staff have adapted well and continue to deliver a first class service to sectors supported by the Department.
