‘HR & L&D team of the year’
UCD’s HR Strategy Growing through people has driven an ambitious, interdependent and innovative programme of activity. In partnership with the university community and through a co‐create philosophy, the UCD HR team cultivated the conditions for transformational culture change which directly supports the university’s mission and develops UCD as a great place to work and thrive.
The judges found this was an outstanding example of a team working together to deliver HR Transformation. The team, all personally impacted by the change, are now 2 years in and have achieved 31 of 38 projects, and recognise that the work will take another 2 years to embed. The team demonstrated a lot of stakeholder engagement, created a new HR service delivery model, leading an outstanding transformation in a tough sector.

The judges wanted to call out a remarkable project full of passion and enthusiasm that made a unique contribution to the local community.
