‘HSELanD’

HSeLanD is the HSE’s eLearning and development portal used by over 110,000 health and social care staff with diverse and complex needs across many disciplines. Through its use of technology, HSELanD, a lovely play on words, has revolutionised the provision of training, learning and development across the whole of the health and social care agencies, at local and national level.

The judges commented on how technology is being used to drive change of culture through learning. The platform has achieved very wide reach, and maintained interest. It uses mandatory training, to engage staff before they even start their jobs, and were able to tell us that Sunday evening is the most popular learning time. In a difficult environment, it has become a trusted brand and is driving Continuous Professional Development in an effective manner.
